Registration Procedure

Online Registration Procedure:

Step 1 - Required Payments:

  • Log in to your portal account:
  • Fresh Student to use JAMB NO as both Username & Password,
  • Returing Students to use Registration No. as both Username & Password.
  • Navigate to 'Student Menu'
  • Click on the links stated below  to make payment for each of the categories:
    i.   Registration Fee Invoice
    ii. Hostel accommodation (optional)

     

Step 2 - Update Bio-Data (new students to be issued with registration number) and Process Courses Registration Form (CRF):

  • Once Registration Fee Payment is approved, students will be allowed to proceed with online registration as follows:
  • i.   In the portal account, click on "Bio-Data Form" to update the relevant entries in the form
  • ii.  Fresh Students will be issued with Registration Number automaticaly once they save Bio-Data Form
  • ii.  Navigate to  "Courses Registration" to process and print Courses Registration Form (CRF)

Step 3:  Hostel Accomodation

  • Navigate to the Student Menu section in your portal account
  • Click "Hostel Accomodation" to generate Hostel Allocation Payment Invoice.
  • After successfull payment  click  "Hostel Accomodation" again to  verify your payment and to print  "Hostel Allocation Confirmation Form".
  • Proceed to the Students' Affairs Unit to submit your "Hostel Allocation Confirmation Form".

Vision:

To be a model institution renowned for training competitive and morally upright, middle and higher level manpower in technology, applied science and commerce management”.

Mission:

To create a learning space where innovation and highly functional education and training would produce competitive and morally upright manpower that will contribute to the socio-economic development of the society.


Objectives:

The objectives of the Polytechnic are as enshrined in the Law establishing it. These include, but not limited to:

  • Provide full-time or part-time courses of instructions and training to produce competent middle and high level manpower (a)  in technology, applied science commerce and management; and  (b) in such other fields of applied learning relevant to the needs of the development of Nigeria in the areas of industrial and agricultural production and distribution and for research in the   development and adaptation of techniques as the Council may determine
  • Promote relevant skills acquisition for self-reliance and innovation in order to reduce unemployment among youth.
  • Promote through teaching, research and other means, the advancement of knowledge and its practical application to the needs of the community and Nigeria at large.
  • Provide specific and targeted vocational skills necessary for agricultural and industrial development of Nigeria
  • Award Diploma and Certificates relating to such fields of learning to students who are qualified for such award.
  • Link up with the industry to provide competent and relevant manpower that will enhance the competitiveness of the Nigerian Economy.
  • Train people who can apply knowledge to find solutions to personal and societal  problems

Functions:

The Polytechnic, as per the Federal Polytechnic (Amendment) Act, 2019, should have the following functions:

  • To provide a course of study in both academic and professional fields.
  • To establish a department and such other units of planning, research and Consultancy Services.
  • Erect, provide, equip, maintain libraries, laboratories, lecture halls, halls of residence, Dining halls, sport fields and other buildings and facilities as may be required.
  • Provide for the residence, recreation and welfare of members of staff
  • Institute and award fellowship, scholarship, prizes and other titles, aids and gifts for the advancement of its programs.
  • Demand and receive from any student or any other person attending the Polytechnic for the purpose of instructions such fees as the Council may from time to time determine.
  • Upon terms and conditions approved by the visitor; to borrow money, invest its funds or dispose of any of its assets.
  • Print or publish works or sale books or undertake such services as may be deemed consistent with the function of the Polytechnic.
  • Do all other acts and things as may be incidental or conducive to its functions
